Selling your used heavy equipment starts with their values, which like automobiles the condition and age can make a big difference.  If you price your equipment too high it will take much longer for that potential buyer to come along, and even when you get a bite it will most likely come with what will feel like a low ball offer.  That low ball offer may actually closer to the market value.

It’s important to do at least a little homework. You can take a look at other used equipment for sale that is like yours and in about the same condition and see what the going price range seems to be.  I’ve even heard of some people calling to ask a few more detailed questions about the equipment.  There is also a site, kind of like Kelly blue book for autos, called Fastline Equipment Values.  They track the current used market value for almost all used farm equipment, use construction equipment and even heavy trucks.

If you want to sell your used heavy equipment fast, take a little time up front and price it right (not low, but right) for your audience.
